Inspired by the historic Penfolds chimney, which has towered over the Magill Estate Winery for nearly a century, the Penfolds 65F is a multi-regional Cabernet Shiraz blend sourced from premium vineyards throughout South Australia. NIGO drew inspiration from the design aesthetics of the 1930s and 1950s to create updated details on the Grange, such as pressed labels, a distinctive wine tag, and a chimney smoke wine stopper, all of which reference the iconic Magill Estate chimney and chalkboards of the winery.

Each bottle of the Penfolds 65F by NIGO is encased in retro-style tissue paper featuring a design reminiscent of the early 20th century Penfolds logo.

Penfolds has provided the following tasting notes for this release:

Colour: Dense with a dark core and garnet edges

Nose: A blend of distinctive French oak with lifted spices such as nutmeg, cardamom, cassis, and caraway seeds. The scent also includes intense blueberry compote, black fig, pomegranate molasses reduction, and a delicate balsamic glaze.

Palate: A compact, mouth-watering palate with fine grain, powdery tannins. The flavor profile includes blueberry soufflé with crème anglaise, spiced with demerara sugar. Balanced with freshly sliced jamón, fennel, and crostini, the palate is still tightly coiled but shows outstanding harmony and balance.

Peak Drinking: Best enjoyed between 2026 and 2041.
