Jinan International Communication Center recently hosted a cultural and industrial tourism experience for 10 foreign visitors from countries including Japan, Britain, Thailand, and Kenya. The group explored the Jinan Quanmai Liquor Industry Scenic Area and Quancheng Craft Beer Industrial Park, gaining insights into the city’s dynamic craft beer culture. Through a combination of cultural experiences, industrial tourism, and seasonal festivities, the event highlighted Jinan’s international appeal and inclusive spirit.
Beer Museum: Unraveling the History of Brewing
The tour began at the Jinan Beer Museum, where visitors embarked on a journey through brewing history, spanning from ancient Egyptian beer murals to contemporary craft brewing techniques. Yan Yingdao, Deputy General Manager of Quanmai Liquor Industry, guided the group through the exhibits, offering a deep dive into beer’s evolution.
In the interactive “Craft Brewing Lab” section, Japanese visitor Yusuke Toda was particularly drawn to the Jinan Centennial Beer Culture Exhibition, where he admired an old barrel model. “Every drop of beer here seems to tell the story of Jinan,” he remarked.
Smart Manufacturing: A Glimpse into Cutting-Edge Brewing Technology
The delegation then toured the intelligent craft brewing workshop, witnessing advanced production processes in action. They explored the facility’s state-of-the-art disaccharification system, nearly 100 fermentation tanks, and fully automated filling lines. The tour also showcased high-tech equipment, including a German GEA centrifuge and a Dutch Pentair filter, demonstrating Jinan’s leadership in innovative brewing technology.
Spring Equinox Gathering: Tradition Meets Innovation
Timed with the Spring Equinox, the visit featured interactive cultural activities, allowing guests to experience the seamless blend of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship. British visitor Lin Ai suggested integrating Jinan’s renowned spring water symbol into beer label designs to create a “drinkable city business card,” calling it an innovative and intriguing concept.
Strengthening Global Connections through Craft Beer
This initiative serves as more than just an industrial tourism experience—it fosters cross-cultural exchanges and strengthens Jinan’s ties with the global community. As Yan Yingdao emphasized, “We hope that through the universal language of craft beer, global audiences will recognize Jinan as a city where tradition and technology harmonize, and passion meets craftsmanship.”
Looking ahead, Quancheng Craft Beer plans to collaborate with overseas breweries to further expand its international footprint and enhance global appreciation of Jinan’s rich brewing heritage.
