Join the Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden for a memorable evening of wine tastings, art showcases, and more at their annual Wine & Art Night fundraiser. The event, which supports the museum’s mission of preserving nearly 200 years of local history, will take place on Saturday, May 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the historic Lee-Fendall House located at 614 Oronoco Street in Old Town Alexandria.
The evening will feature tastings from several Virginia wineries, including:
- Prince Michel Vineyard & Winery (Leon, Va.)
- Slater Run Vineyards (Upperville, Va.)
In addition, local artists will be on hand to display and sell their work. Featured artists include:
- Barbara Cooper (paintings)
- Barbara Nowak (ceramics)
- Candace Stribling (jewelry)
- Jenny Nordstrom (photography)
Each ticket holder will receive a commemorative Lee-Fendall wine glass and a “tastings passport” for one tasting at each participating winery. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase glasses and bottles of wine during the event.
Tickets for general admission are $75, while VIP tickets are available for $125. VIP attendees can enjoy exclusive access to a special reception in the garden at 6 p.m., including a tasting from Wine Gallery 108, an early visit to the silent auction, and a photography session.
Please note that this event is for guests aged 21 and older. All attendees will be required to show valid ID before entering the event.
Proceeds from Wine & Art Night will support the Lee-Fendall House’s efforts to preserve and share the rich history of the property, which dates back to 1785 and was home to many influential individuals through 1972.
