The Benton County Historical Society will host a special event this Friday and Saturday at the Philomath Museum, offering a unique wine-tasting experience in conjunction with its ongoing exhibit on Oregon’s rich wine history.
The event, titled “Fullerton Wines: Wine Tasting With Clink!,” will take place during the museum’s regular hours, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on April 4 and 5. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary wine tastings while exploring the museum’s current exhibit, “Clink! A Taste of Oregon Wine.”
The exhibit, which opened on February 5 and runs through May 4, is on loan from the Oregon Historical Society. It offers an in-depth look at the history of Oregon’s wine industry, spanning over 150 years. The exhibit traces the journey of Oregon wine, from the pioneering settlers who introduced grapevines on the Oregon Trail to the modern-day innovators shaping the state’s wine landscape.
In addition to exploring the growth of Oregon wine, visitors can learn about the seasonal workers who support the industry and the individuals whose dedication has helped elevate Oregon’s wine culture.
Admission to the Philomath Museum is free for all visitors.
