BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A night of fun, fashion, and philanthropy is set to unfold at the ninth annual Boxers and Beer fundraiser, bringing together an unusual but impactful mix of boxing, beer, and cancer awareness. The event, sponsored by McQuade Distributing, will raise funds for the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation, supporting vital services for cancer patients.
Taking place at the Bismarck Elks Lodge on Thursday, April 24, the event will kick off at 4 p.m. with a pre-party at the upstairs bar, offering music, games, and drink samples. The main event begins at 5 p.m., featuring a silent auction, complimentary food, beer sampling, and a special boxer-themed fashion show. Guests will also hear inspiring stories from cancer survivors and have the opportunity to participate in a live auction.
The Boxers and Beer event is not just a night of entertainment, but also a meaningful way to give back to the community. All proceeds will benefit the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation, which provides essential wraparound services to cancer patients. These services include financial assistance, travel support, massage and art therapy, emotional and spiritual care, and other programs designed to ease the burden of those facing cancer treatment.
Since its inception, the fundraiser has raised over $450,000, and organizers are hopeful that this year’s event will raise even more to support those in need. Tickets are available for $35 at the Bismarck Cancer Center or online, with any remaining tickets available for purchase at the door for $50.
