Keja Brewery from Bari Sardo has secured a double medal at the prestigious Barcelona Beer Challenge, bringing home both a gold and a bronze. The brewery was awarded the gold medal for its Ruffia in the Munich Helles category and a bronze for Calmedia, an India Pale Lager. This marks a significant achievement for the Ogliastra-based brewery, which doubled its medal count compared to last year’s competition, where Calmedia earned a silver medal.

Company administrator Marco Pisanu expressed his pride, stating, “These are awards that make us happy, and we want to share them with the other Sardinian breweries that participated in the event.” The Keja Brewery, a venture founded by two local entrepreneurs, began production in September 2023. While the company was established three years prior, its operations were delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
