Toast to Santa Barbara Wine Country: The 39th Annual Santa Barbara Vintners Festival

by Kaia

On October 14th, my husband and I embarked on a delightful journey through the 39th Annual Santa Barbara Vintners Festival, a grand celebration of all things wine and community. Amid the picturesque backdrop of the historic Vega Vineyard & Farm, our experience was nothing short of a vinous extravaganza, filled with sparkling wines, passionate winemakers, delectable cuisine, and the heartwarming camaraderie of fellow wine enthusiasts.

Our adventure commenced at the Bank of Marin Bubble Lounge, an effervescent oasis that set the perfect tone for the celebration. Bubbles, in my opinion, are always the ideal prelude to any festivity. The lounge exuded an air of sophistication, complete with lush seating arrangements and lively conversations. This charming enclave became our first stop for indulging in sparkling wines sourced from the breadth of Santa Barbara Wine Country.

It was at this juncture that we had the pleasure of meeting a fellow festival-goer, Casleah Herwaldt, who exuded enthusiasm for the occasion. She shared her sentiments, remarking, “This is my first time here, but it’s absolutely amazing. I’ve adored Santa Barbara wines for a long time. They are truly outstanding wines, and this region remains a hidden gem, boasting wines of exceptional quality. Additionally, the warmth and hospitality of the people here are exceptional.” As we embarked on this vinous odyssey, it was evident that the Santa Barbara Vintners Festival was an event that celebrated not just the splendid wines but also the spirit of community that makes this wine country truly special.
