The 15th edition of the Hong Kong International Wines & Spirits Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is set to take place from November 3 to November 5 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Despite a notable reduction in exhibitor numbers compared to previous years, with just over 500 exhibitors from 17 different countries participating, the HKTDC remains optimistic about the event’s success.
This year’s fair promises attendees a diverse and extensive range of global beverages and wine-related products. The offerings will include a wide selection of both old-world and new-world wines, liquors hailing from mainland China and Japan, various whiskies, and an assortment of beers. Additionally, eleven group pavilions will be dedicated to showcasing products from countries such as Australia, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan.
Beyond the beverages, the event will feature specialized zones, including Wine Education, Wine Accessories, Equipment and Services, as well as snacks designed for wine pairing.
The fair is scheduled to host a series of engaging events and conferences. Notably, an Opening Reception will be graced by the presence of Paul Chan, the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. Debra Meiburg, a Master of Wine, will lead conferences that explore topics like sustainability in the wine industry and business opportunities in the Asian wine market. Vino Joy News will also organize a seminar aimed at dissecting the new normal in China’s wine trends post-pandemic. Attendees can look forward to a range of activities, including tasting sessions, seminars, award ceremonies, and the exciting Hong Kong International Mixology Showdown 2023.
