Windber, Pennsylvania, November 2, 2023 – Enthusiasts of fine wines and distilled spirits in western Pennsylvania are in for a treat as the annual Windber Winter Wine Fest returns, offering an exceptional opportunity to savor a selection of libations from more than a dozen local vendors and explore unique holiday gift options.
Scheduled for November 11th, this year’s event will be hosted at the Windber Community Building, located at 1605 Graham Ave. Tickets for the event are available for purchase online, in advance at the community building, or on the day of the event, granting access to two distinct wine tasting sessions, either from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Drawing an annual crowd of 500 to 600 attendees, the Windber Winter Wine Fest has become a highly anticipated tradition in the region. According to Matt Grohal, the Recreation Director for the Windber Municipal Authority, which oversees recreational opportunities at the Windber Community Building and Windber Recreation Park, the festival serves as a significant fundraiser.
“It’s a really good fundraiser for us,” Grohal remarked. “It goes a long way to help get us through the winter months financially and provides recreational opportunities for residents of Windber and the surrounding communities.”
