The celebratory event is scheduled for November 18, commencing at 3 pm, featuring an extensive lineup of core range and limited release beers, all available on their 14 taps. Notably, party-goers will have the opportunity to savor the Yuzu Kosho Gose birthday brew, and the first keg will be served free of charge.

Lauren Sheppard, Managing Director of Moo Brew, expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “Eighteen years of independent local craft brewing is a noteworthy milestone. Few breweries can claim this achievement, and we are filled with pride. This coming-of-age celebration is further enriched with the opening of Sally’s, enabling us to showcase the very best of Moo Brew.”

Originally established in 2005 by Mona’s David Walsh, the brewery had its beginnings in Berridale, situated at Moorilla Estate, one of Tasmania’s oldest wineries, which Walsh acquired in the mid-1990s, naming it “Moo Land.”

With the need for expansion, Moo Brew outgrew its Berriedale brewhouse in 2011 and subsequently transitioned to its purpose-built facility in Bridgewater.

Manky Sally’s, a recent addition to Hobart’s Salamanca strip, introduced a nano-brewery earlier this year, further enhancing the Moo Brew experience.

Jack Viney, Head Brewer, commented on the brewery’s ethos, stating, “Moo Brew’s commitment to the classics and its thirst for experimentation allows us the freedom to create, cause a stir, and break the rules when it suits. I’m thrilled to lead a brewery that’s proudly local, unpretentious, and dedicated to crafting exceptional beers from Tasmania.”
