In commemoration of Women’s History Month, Freeland Spirits has unveiled a special expression of aged gin, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Regarding Her, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry.
Crafted by Molly Troupe, Freeland’s master distiller, the 57% ABV gin underwent a transformative aging process, spending six months maturing in barrels sourced from Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey. This unique aging imparts distinct notes of oak, orange, and sweet caramel to the spirit.
Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Freeland Spirits boasts an all-female leadership team, mirroring the ethos of its collaborator, Uncle Nearest, based in Tennessee.
Available in limited quantities, the specially aged gin is priced at $49.99 for a 750ml bottle.
Jill Kuehler, founder and CEO of Freeland Spirits, expressed enthusiasm for the release, stating, “This launch is a celebration of the incredible women who have shaped the spirits industry and the world at large. Freeland Spirits recognizes the importance of amplifying women’s voices and contributions, and we are thrilled to come together during Women’s History Month to raise a glass to the women who have paved the way and continue to inspire us.”
In addition to its innovative gin offerings, Freeland Spirits also produces Bourbon aged in Pinot Noir oak barrels, showcasing the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional craft spirits.
