In a strategic move to expand its presence in Poland, Salitos has announced a new distribution partnership with Central European Distribution Corporation (CEDC), a subsidiary of the Maspex Group, Poland’s largest distributor renowned for brands like Żubrówka.
Previously, Salitos had been distributed in Poland by Stock Spirits, which acquired Sierra Tequila and Borco, its parent brand, last year.
Explaining the shift, MBG Global Brands, the parent company of Salitos, noted that while the partnership with Stock Spirits had been fruitful, recent developments, including the acquisition of Sierra Tequila, created ambiguity regarding Salitos’ position.
Nina Albers, Head of Sales and Marketing at MBG Global Brands, expressed confidence in the new partnership, citing CEDC’s proven track record and deep understanding of the Polish market as instrumental factors. Albers stated, “We are confident that together, we will unlock new opportunities and deliver exceptional value to our customers and consumers.”
MBG Global Brands anticipates that this collaboration will not only fortify Salitos’ presence in Poland but also propel it to new heights of success through CEDC’s extensive distribution network.
Salitos boasts a range of three expressions: Tequila Gold, Tequila Solver, and Tropical Chili. Originating from Jalisco, Mexico, it undergoes a meticulous slow and open fermentation process using Blue Weber agave aged for eight years.
In addition to distribution, CEDC will assume responsibility for all marketing and sales activities related to Salitos in Poland.
Headquartered in Germany, MBG Global Brands also owns the Italian brand Scavi & Ray, known for its Limoncello and Crema di Limoncello.
