Located at 840 Florida A1A N in the Corridors at Ponte Vedra shopping center, The Fresh Market has submitted plans to St. Johns County for approval. These plans detail the addition of a coffee bar and request permission for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises. Additionally, the proposal includes design modifications to the store’s facade, incorporating new branding and paint colors.
While The Fresh Market has not yet officially commented on the proposed expansion, documents filed with the St. Johns County Planning and Zoning Department indicate the company’s intentions. The application specifically requests a minor modification to the existing Planned Unit Development agreement to allow for on-site alcohol consumption. This modification is necessary due to the proximity of the proposed liquor store to The Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus.
St. Johns County Building Services records show plans for both The Fresh Market Coffee Bar and The Fresh Market Liquor Store in Suite 210, currently under review. Additionally, leasing site plans reveal that The Fresh Market has expanded its footprint by 8,280 square feet, occupying space previously held by Tuesday Morning. This expansion brings the store’s total area to 34,586 square feet.
The proposed changes are scheduled for review by the St. Johns County Planning and Zoning Agency on April 18th. If approved, the expansion would significantly enhance The Fresh Market’s offerings in Ponte Vedra Beach, providing customers with a more comprehensive shopping and dining experience.
