Renowned ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail brand Moth has unveiled two new offerings to its range, introducing a Cosmopolitan and a Paloma to its lineup. The brand has notably experienced significant success in the UK market, particularly with its Tequila and vodka-based offerings, with its Margarita holding an impressive 73% share within its category.
Moth stands out as the UK’s fastest-growing RTD brand, solidifying its position with the introduction of these two new expressions. The Cosmopolitan, boasting a 14.9% alcohol by volume (ABV), is presented in a 125ml can and features tasting notes described as ‘tart-sweet and chic.’ Meanwhile, the Paloma, with a 10% ABV, is packaged in a 200ml can and is characterized by its ‘juicy, zesty, and zippy’ flavor profile.
Rob Wallis, Co-founder of Moth, expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s expansion, stating, “Following the popularity of Moth Margarita – being the UK’s number-one Margarita and holding a 73% share – and the Espresso Martini, we’re excited to expand our vodka and Tequila range, with a Cosmopolitan and Paloma – two new delicious cocktails that can be served without fuss and enjoyed any time, anywhere.”
These new additions complement Moth’s existing lineup, which includes a diverse array of canned cocktails such as the Espresso Martini, French 75, Piña Colada, Aperitivo Spritz, Negroni, Mojito, and an Old Fashioned.
Available nationwide in the UK, the cocktails are priced at £3.99 (US$5) at Waitrose and £3.95 (US$5) at Sainsbury’s, all served in the brand’s recyclable cans. Notably, Moth received B Corp status last year, marking it as the first premium British RTD brand to achieve this recognition. Moreover, Moth’s Margarita boasts emitting 33.54% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than a freshly made cocktail, aligning with the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
Sarah Holland, Spirits Buyer at Waitrose, expressed excitement about the new additions to Moth’s lineup, stating, “Following the impressive success of Moth in Waitrose, we’re delighted to be sharing two new Moth cocktails. The popularity of premium RTD cocktails is showing no signs of slowing, and I’m sure the new Cosmopolitan and Paloma – two popular drinks – will further contribute to the success of the brand and be a big hit with Waitrose customers.”
