KiKi Apéritif Makes Debut in the US Market

by Kaia

Heavenly Spirits, a Massachusetts-based importer specializing in French spirits, has introduced the French apéritif KiKi to the United States. Originating from the Vendée region in western France, KiKi will be available in two varieties: the red Epines Noires and the white Poires de Vendée Epines Noires.

Known as a Vin d’Épines or troussepinéttè, KiKi is crafted using local wine infused with young shoots from blackthorn bushes harvested in spring. The white KiKi variety incorporates pear juice sourced from the local Vendée farmers’ co-op.

Inspired by the invitation to “Come have a KiKi with me,” this traditional before-dinner drink boasts a 13% ABV and can be enjoyed chilled, in cocktails, or as a long drink, typically served in small Duralex glasses.

Both expressions are priced at $19.99 per 750ml bottle and are currently available in Massachusetts, with plans for wider distribution across the US through Heavenly Spirits’ network of distribution partners.

Founded in 2008, Heavenly Spirits has established itself as a key importer of French spirits in the US market, recently expanding its portfolio with events such as an Armagnac seminar and the launch of La Barteleur, a ready-to-drink cocktail brand.

The introduction of KiKi marks another milestone in Heavenly Spirits’ commitment to bringing premium French spirits to American consumers.
