UK-based Ramsbury Distillery has introduced a new addition to its product line: a lemon balm-flavoured gin, just in time for summer. This vibrant and lively London Dry gin is crafted with lemon balm cultivated on the company’s Wiltshire estate, offering a well-balanced, citrus-forward flavor.
The process involves harvesting fresh lemon balm leaves from the distillery’s garden, which are then steeped overnight alongside 12 other house botanicals. The resulting gin delivers a zesty, herbaceous lemon flavor, complemented by traditional London Dry gin notes and concluding with a crisp, citrus finish.
Ramsbury suggests serving the Lemon Balm Gin with 150ml of tonic water and a lemon garnish. This limited release highlights the distillery’s commitment to innovation and sustainable, locally-sourced ingredients.
Available at the distillery and on its website, the Lemon Balm Gin is offered at 40% ABV with a recommended retail price of £36 (US$46) for a 700ml bottle. Reflecting its sustainability efforts, Ramsbury Distillery uses recycled glass, grows ingredients on its estate, and operates an on-site reed irrigation system.
Earlier this year, Ramsbury added a previously limited edition raspberry and wildflower honey gin to its permanent range. In October 2023, the brand expanded into Canada through a partnership with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. In the UK, Ramsbury’s gin and vodka are distributed by Proof Drinks.
